"Living On Mars" is a nice overall balance across the frequency spectrum, but contains a Les Paul track that actually "twangs" despite not having much high-frequency content to begin with.  Some panning helped separate the midrange.  All drums were from a sample library, and the same condenser mic was used on the guitar amp as was on the vocals.  The bass guitar was highly processed for this album, One Of A Kind.
"Where's The Love?" is a much more sparse arrangement; the bass drops out for large portions of the song.  Listen for the transitions when the bass comes in, and as the kick drum starts to drive the chorus hard after the first line.  This song uses the legendary Boss Dimension C chorus.  Also from One Of A Kind.
"Santa's Broke" is a humorous look at one particular holiday...many layers of guitars and vocals, as well as additional percussion and keyboards--A very dense midrange, but with good separation.  Different types of vocals, including spoken word and children's ensemble help fill the song.  From One Of A Kind.
"Santa Fe" is from the first album, Crazy Mixed-Up World.  A good mix for a song with a lot of timing transitions.  The guitar solo tone was particularly pleasing, a nice blend of overdrive and clear tonality.  Listen for the balance between the keyboard layers and distorted guitars--not everything in the midrange can be foregrounded.  This project was recorded using only a dynamic microphone due to initial budget constraints--and it was a harsh one that required a lot of EQ to sound nice and sit right in the mix.
"Out Of This World" is a driving slower song from One Of A Kind.  Listen again for the Boss Dimension C clean sound balanced against the distorted syncopated guitars.  There were some issues here with the arrangement of the transitions out of the chorus of the song, but overall a good blend of frequencies.  The vocals here required heavy editing, including fades and cuts, but the end result is fairly seamless.
"Anytime I Fall" is from Crazy Mixed-Up World.  It's a touch too compressed, particularly on the bass, but listen to the start of the chorus as the arrangement stops all instruments, and the depth of tonality that was achieved in the lower midrange of the frequency band.  The song also features a pause at the end of the guitar solo, and listen for the visceral kick when the rest of the instruments re-enter the mix.
